My boyfriend asked me what restaurant has kitschy "Eugene" food around here...and you know what? I don't know. We were watching a food channel show (there are not enough of those) and some chick in a diner was making a bourbon poached pear to go atop her brie covered hamburger...ok... it really looked good (except the brie...what a foul cheese...but anyway) so he looks over at me and says "who around here does stuff like that?" I had no answer. I eat out more than any one person should, and I love food...so you would think I would be your go to girl on the local goods, but I generally stick with your standard Applebee's two for twenty special...I mean, how can you go wrong with this and a Ninkasi IPA...I mean really??!?!
And finally, for greed....
Oh what joy! Look what has reappeared on ebay...they do not come around often, so get a good look. I want one of these. I have to pare down the herd as it were where wheels are concerned, I have one too many as it is...but I would take THIS one in a heartbeat. EEEEEE!! Just looking at it brings me joy. This my friends is the Louet S40...heaven in a box is all I am sayin. You like your Louet Julia or your Louet Victoria or The Bee or Frickle's...really?!?! You think you like them, Ha! THIS rivals them all! This little baby is no longer produced so of course they go through the roof on price. I watched an S40 go for over $500.00 this summer on ebay. This one is currently selling for over $350.00. Ah... one day, maybe.
